Biggs and Wedge 5-7-09

My rats, Biggs and Wedge. At about two months old, they're as long as my hand from nose to rump. I'm expecting them to be large boys.

I adopted them over Spring break from a friend I met in college, him and his sister own the parents, both are fawn hoodeds. Biggs and Wedge were the only males in the litter, of I think ten.

Biggs is on the left, he's has a smaller stripe and is more of a grayish-taupe color, not quite grey, silver, or lilac. XD Wedge, the one on the right, has almost his whole back colored, and he's a nice caramel-like fawn. (My lighting is horrible, you can see the difference in person.)

I understand now why so many people love rats as pets. They really are the sweetest things, they poke their noses out of the hammock when I come downstairs or when I say good morning, groom and climb on me, and always seem ready to play. And when they're all played out they just nap on your lap, pillow, or hoodie pocket.
